Learn the basics of quilting with Sue. She’ll teach you everything from A to Z. Picking fabrics, proper cutting, 1/4″ seam allowance, borders, binding and finishing your quilt with your home machine! This 5-week program takes you from start to finish.  Homework will be assigned each week. Course fee includes handouts. Receive 10% off any supplies listed for the class.

-sewing machine (and user’s manual) with regular or ¼” foot
-marking pens or pencil
-seam ripper
-snips/scissors
-pins
-large safety pins (or curved basting pins)
-thread (any color, but white works best)
-quilting (or darning/open toe) foot
-walking foot
-rotary cutter
-cutting mat (18″ x 24″ or larger)
-rotary cutting ruler (6″ or 6 ½” x 24″)
-6 ½” and 12 ½” square ruler

Fabric A — ¾ yd. white/off-white fabric
Fabric B — ¾ yd. medium-tone fabric
Fabric C — ¾ yd. dark-tone fabric
Fabric D — 1 yd. for border
Fabric E — ¾ yd. sashing
