Charity Sewing Day

We have been collecting scrap fabric for 8 years!  The end of bolts, leftovers from shop projects and Mystery Quilts.  You name it!  In the past we often used these bits to make pet beds for the local shelters.  Once we had them over-whelmed with donations, we stopped hoarding scraps and only kept the bigger pieces.  But now what?  Well, we've decided to make String Quilts for Charity!  With your help we want to use up as much of our "quilt shop quality" fabrics to make quilts for Women and Children's Horizons of Kenosha.

Join us on Thursday, October 21st from 9 am to 8 pm at First Christian Church, 13022 Wilmot Rd (HWY C), Kenosha, WI

Bring your sewing machine, or just your self.  We will need volunteers to cut strips, volunteers to iron, and volunteers to trim up the squares.  While this is a charity event, we are charging a registration fee to cover meals (lunch & dinner) and snacks.

Make sure to register so we can have tables and chairs available for everyone and pre-order meals.
